Three virtual public workshops were held to to assist those interested in submitting ​grant applications to the Round 8 SALC program. 
Two hybrid public comment workshops were held to gather public comments on the SALC Round 9 Draft Guidelines.

May 26. 2021 - Listening Session #3: Continuing the Conversation
The California Strategic Growth Growth Council and the Department of Conservation (DOC) hosted a series of online listening sessions to gather feedback and ideas from the public regarding the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program (SALC)​. The workshops were conversational by design with breakout groups, and brainstorming sessions. ​

May 4, 2021 -Pre-proposal Workshop (Round 7 Acquisition Grants)

April 20 & 28 2021 - Listening Sessions: Advancing Racial Equity
​The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) and DOC hosted a series of online listening sessions to gather feedback and ideas from the public regarding the equity components of the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program. Notes from the events will be posted once finalized.


Background: In August of 2020, SGC announced the adoption of its landmark Racial Equity Resolution. Racial Equity is central to SGC’s mission and SALC seeks to align with and advance the resolution and the Council’s Racial Equity Action Plan.​
