Calculating Superheat in Excel Tools

To calculate superheat, we must have the steam pressure (P, bars) and temperature (T, ºC). Superheat is the difference between steam temperature, T, and saturation temperature, Tsat, at pressure, P. (To use English units, you will have to convert to metric to run the routine, then convert back to English when you get the answer).

The method is designed to calculate saturation pressure (Psat) as a function of temperature. To calculate saturation temperature as a function of pressure, one has to invoke an iterative process to work backwards, using following equation.
