COVID-19 Pandemic Requests

​​​​​​CalGEM expects operators to remain in compliance with permit and regulatory requirements in order to protect public health, safety, and the environment. We also recognize that some operators may need additional compliance assistance because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a notice (PDF) issued to operators on May 1, 2020, the State Oil and Gas Supervisor stated specific time-limited remedies, such as the extension of regulatory​ deadlines, will be considered under clearly articulated circumstances.
