Larry Sheingold is Chair of the California State Mining and Geology Board. He has served as the public member on the Board since his appointment on February 27, 2018. Sheingold was owner and sole proprietor of Sheingold Associates from 1989 to 2018. He served as legislative staff for California State Senators Don Perata, Betty Karnette, Jim Costa and Henry Mello, following 10 years as staff in the California State Assembly. Sheingold also served on the State Bar Examining Committee from 2008 to 2017 and the California Dental Board from 2007 to 2008.
