CalGEM Virtual Briefings on State Abandonments and Orphan Wells

SACRAMENTO - ​The California Geologic Energy Management Division invites the public to participate in upcoming informal briefings on oil and gas sta​te abandonments and orphan wells in March and April.​ 

Each meeting will provide an overview of CalGEM efforts to increase state abandonments of orphan and deserted wells, current inventory lists, screening methodology for ranking and prioritizing wells, and an update on latest federal funding.
