Benjamin Turner is the Assistant Director for the Office of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for the Department of Conservation. He was appointed in December 2014 by Governor Brown to represent DOC in interactions with governmental agencies and other stakeholders.
Before joining DOC, Turner served for seven years as a Legislative Director and Policy Consultant in the California State Assembly and State Senate, where much of his work focused on legislation pertaining to oil and gas, energy, and environmental issues.
Turner earned his B.A. and M.A. in geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
