Join OMR botanists and UC Davis soil scientist Vic Claassen for this full day, hands-on specialty workshop. We will give presentations and demonstrations on soil testing and amending, selecting the plant palette, collecting baseline data, setting performance standards, seed application and container plant installation, and maintenance and monitoring for revegetation success. The workshop will be held outdoors at a former gravel mine site that is in the process of being reclaimed for open space, wildlife habitat, and community parks. It is also part of a broader regional effort to restore the natural corridor of the San Diego River.
Attendance is limited to the first 30 enrollees.
Please register online or call (916) 323-9198 for more information.
