Join OMR geologists and Department of Fish and Game Senior Biologist Scott Downie for a full day, hands-on workshop on in-stream mining and monitoring. Presentations and discussions will focus on in-stream mining regulations, channel monitoring techniques, impacts to infrastructure, and fish passage and entrapment. The morning class room portion of the workshop will be held at DFG’s Fortuna office. The afternoon session will include a fieldtrip to a local in-stream gravel mine.
