BACKGROUND: On the 8th annual
America Recycles Day, the Department of
Conservation will announce the latest
bottle and can recycling rates and host
a celebration of Californias recycling
successes from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Capitol
Park. The event will showcase state and
local recycling programs and outreach
efforts, a display of products made from
recycled materials, an opportunity to
sign up for a free recycling starter
kit, and a chance to have a picture
taken with recycling spokesdinosaur
Recycle Rex.
