Marni Weber joined the Department of Conservation in December, 2008, bringing a wealth of experience to the position of Assistant Director, Governmental and Environmental Relations. Prior to joining DOC, Marni served in a related capacity with the California Energy Commission, where she was Legislative Manager. Her state government experience also includes a stint as Budget Manager for the Employment Development Department, and Legislative Director for a State Senator. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Originally from San Diego, Marni has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and the Pacific in tandem with first her father and then her husband, both of whom were in the military.
