Hal Bopp has been with the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources since 1975 and was appointed to the position of State Oil and Gas Supervisor in May 2003.   Prior to that, he was the Bakersfield District Manager since 1990, and was the Santa Maria District Manager from 1988 to 1990.   Hal has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California and is a registered professional engineer in the State of California.   He currently resides in Sacramento with his wife, Denise, and three cats, Simon, Max, and Katie.
