provides examples of project activities
implemented by cities and counties with

This
promotional post card was designed
by San Mateo County.
This
curbside brochure was designed by
City of Napa The City has an English
and a Spanish version of this
brochure. One thing to remember when
using container graphics, is make sure
you dont show the product name unless
to have permission from the company to
use their product.
This in-mold
signage was used by the City of Napa
on its multi-family
recycling toters.
The City of Santa
Cruz used their
refuse and recycling trucks to promote
bottle and can recycling.
Mammoth Mountain
Ski Area built
recycle bin enclosures at their
employee housing facilities.
This
poster was designed by Mammoth
Mountain Ski Area.
The City of San
Bernardino designed this
banner for special events.
This
grocery store display was created
by the City of Victorville. The
display lists general info on CRV, CRV
value, eligible containers, curbside
recycling info and who to call for the
nearest recycling center.
Riester-Robb (the
DOC public relations contractor)
designed this
truck wrap for the West Contra
Costa IWMB.
City of Orange
purchased
recycled content playground equipment.
Oakland provided
recycle/trash containers for 25 of
its parks.
City of Berkeley
has major scavenging problems and had
Eco-Pop and Forms & Surfaces design
this
recycle/trash bin.
A rural area in
Humboldt County (Rio Dell) started a
community drop-off collection program
at its elementary school which can
also be used by the community. The program is still going
strong!
City of Lancaster
purchased an
in-ground recycling system for its
soccer complex. This in-ground
system reduces risks involved with
physically handling waste and also
reduces the cost to maintain
collection bins. A truck outfitted
with a special designed crane is used
to service the bins.
In-ground recycling system similar
to Lancaster but it has three
different recycling bins to capture
paper, trash and beverage containers.
Indoor/outdoor recycling bins,
collection systems.
