Well Stimulation Treatment Statutes and Regulations

The New Laws

On September 20, 2013, Governor Brown signed Senate Bill 4 (Chapter 313, Statutes of 2013) into California law. On December 30, 2014 the California Office of Administrative Law approved the formal rulemaking process for Well Stimulation Treatment Regulations, which went into effect on July 1, 2015.

Well Stimulation New and Amended Statutes

Senate Bill 4 of 2013 was an act to amend Sections 3213, 3215, 3236.5, and 3401 of, and to add Article 3 (commencing with Section 3150) to Chapter 1 of Division 3 of the Public Resources Code, and to add Section 10783 to the Water Code, relating to oil and gas. The final regulations are effective July 1, 2015. These new and amended statutes can be viewed below:
