FMMP - Survey Area

FMMP Survey Area

Extent of mapping in 2006

Coverage includes 47.9 million acres, 96% of the state's private lands.   Locations shown as ‘Out of Survey Area' may be added in the future, while those indicated as ‘Local, State, and Federal Owned Land' are not planned for incorporation. Examples of government owned land include National Parks, Forests, and BLM lands. Please note that small portions of government land are covered by FMMP mapping—generally appearing as ‘Other Land' on the map below.

Mendocino County is the most recent addition to the survey area, with work made possible due to a temporary funding augmentation from the Water Bond of 2000 (Proposition 13).   It is currently in draft status undergoing local review.

A more detailed statewide map, at 11 x 17 inches, is available for download from this site in PDF format, at 300 dpi (2.3 MB); or contact FMMP for a wall size map.
