The Strategic Growth Council approved funding totaling $37.4 million for twenty-one FY2015-16 SALC Program projects on August 9th, 2016.
Thank you to all of those who applied. SALC Program staff will now work to enter into grant agreements with the various grantees as the next step toward placing conservation easements on project sites and implementing the strategy and outcome project. Stakeholders interested in provided feedback on the SALC Program Guidelines and application process for FY2016-17 should stay tuned for news on upcoming lessons learned workshops in August and September. We welcome any and all feedback.
FY 2015-16 Application Forms and Background Documents
The FY 2015-16 Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation Program (SALC Program), grant application forms, and supporting materials are posted below. The FY 2015-16 Guidelines below serve as the Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) for two components of the SALC Program: Agricultural Land Strategy and Outcomes; and Agricultural Conservation Easements.
Disadvantaged Communities (DAC) Status
A Disadvantaged Communities Benefits Checklist specific to the 2015-16 SALC Program Guidelines is available
here. Applicants claiming to provide a benefit to a disadvantaged community need to complete this Disadvantaged Communities Benefits Checklist. Please use
ARB's DAC map of the top 25th percentile Disadvantaged Communities under SB 535, to determine whether the proposed project lies within a DAC. Also available via this link is ARB’s Half-Mile Zones around DACs and ZIP Codes containing DACs.
