Bond Funding
DLRP has been the recipient of funds from five statewide Bond measures approved by the voters since 2000. These funds enhance the Division's ability to meet its mandate to provide information to guide land use planning decisions and incentives to landowners to voluntarily protect California's farmland, open space, and watersheds. Projects receiving Bond funding include:

Proposition 12, California Parks Bond (2000) -- The California Farmland Conservancy Program (CFCP) received $25 million to fund grants for agricultural conservation easements and planning projects for the purpose of preserving important agricultural land resources. Proposition 13, California Water Bond (2000) -- The Farmland Mapping and Monitoring Program received a total of $2,500,000 to expand the project study area, conduct mapping enhancements, and accelerate completion of modern soil surveys.

Proposition 40, California Water/Air/Parks/Coastal Protection Bond (2002) -- The California Farmland Conservancy Program received a total of $45 million to fund grants for agricultural conservation easements and planning projects that result in acquisition of agricultural conservation easements. Proposition 50 (2002) -- The statewide Watershed Program received at total of $4.02 million; with $3 million committed to watershed coordinator contracts, $794k to other program implementation activities, and $227k for program administration.

Proposition 84 (2006) -- The CFCP received authorization of $10 million to fund the acquisition of agricultural conservation easements and planning grants. The statewide Watershed Program received authorization of $2 million to support new watershed coordinator grants, and $125k to administer grant program responsibilities. Projects from these funds are being initated as of February 2011.
