California Farmland Conservancy Program

The California Farmland Conservancy Program (CFCP) seeks to encourage the long-term, private stewardship of agricultural lands through the voluntary use of agricultural conservation easements. The CFCP provides grant funding for projects which use and support agricultural conservation easements for protection of agricultural lands.  As of January 2014, CFCP has funded 172 conservation easements, permanently conserving some of the state's best farmland in agricultural regions throughout the state.
