Alquist-Priolo CD's Released - Fault Evaluation Reports and Fault Investigation Reports

CGS CDs 2002-01, 2002-02 and 2002-03:
Fault Evaluation Reports Prepared Under the
Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Act

Fault Evaluation Reports (FERs) are unpublished manuscripts prepared since 1976 by the California Geological Survey staff to summarize evidence for Holocene faulting on various faults in California. The purpose of these reports is to evaluate faults for possible zoning under the Alquist- Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Act. Each report includes a summary of previous work, an analysis of geomorphic evidence for faulting based on the interpretation of aerial photos and field examination, and conclusions and recommendations for or against zoning under the Alquist-Priolo (AP) Act.
The statewide collection of digital images of AP Fault Evaluation Reports is divided into three sets of compact disks and is current up to January 1, 2001. The FER files are viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is included on the navigation CD. There are three ways to select an individual FER: 1) search using map interface, 2) search using database interface, and 3) select using specific FER number. The three regions are:

CGS CD 2002-01 - FAULT EVALUATION REPORTS PREPARED UNDER THE ALQUIST-PRIOLO EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONING ACT - Region 1 - Central California: Set contains pdf files of 66 FERs in the central California coastal area. Each set contains [1] installation/navigation CD and [5] data CDs.

CGS CD 2002-02 - FAULT EVALUATION REPORTS PREPARED UNDER THE ALQUIST-PRIOLO EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONING ACT - Region 2 - Southern California: Set contains pdf files of 130 FERs in the southern California area. Each set contains [1] installation/navigation CD and [7] data CDs.

CGS CD 2002-03 - FAULT EVALUATION REPORTS PREPARED UNDER THE ALQUIST-PRIOLO EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONING ACT - Region 3 - Northern and Eastern California: Set contains pdf files of 46 FERs in the northern and eastern area. Each set contains [1] navigation/ installation CD and [4] data CDs.

CGS CD 2003-01 and CD 2003-02:
Fault Investigation Reports for Development Sites within Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zones, 1974-2000

These 2 CD sets contain digital images of site specific fault investigation reports done in compliance with the Alquist-Priolo (AP) Earthquake Fault Zoning Act that have been filed with the California Geological Survey (CGS). This statewide collection of AP site reports consists of 4,220 reports for 3,185 development sites filed with CGS through December 31, 2000. The reports contain a large amount of site-specific data on the locations of faults, as well as evidence for recency. The reports commonly include descriptions of trenches and borings, air photo interpretations, and field observations, as well as geophysical measurements (mostly magnetic profiling and seismic refraction).
The AP site report files are viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is included on the navigation CD. There are three ways to select an individual AP site report: 1) search using map interface, 2) search using database interface, and 3) select using specific AP site number.

CGS CD 2003-01-FAULT INVESTIGATION REPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT SITES WITHIN ALQUIST-PRIOLO EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONES IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, 1974-2000: Set contains pdf files of 2,059 AP site reports in northern California (north of latitude 35.75°N). Each set contains [1] installation/navigation CD and [5] data CDs.

CGS CD 2003-02-FAULT INVESTIGATION REPORTS FOR DEVELOPMENT SITES WITHIN ALQUIST-PRIOLO EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONES IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, 1974-2000: Set contains pdf files of 2,161AP site reports in southern California (south of latitude 35.75°N). Each set contains [1] installation/navigation CD and [6] data CDs.
