EARTHQUAKE FAULT ZONES
These index pages identify all Official Maps of
Earthquake Fault Zones delineated by the California Geological Survey through May 1, 1999
under the Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning
Act . Figures 4A - 4J are taken directly from
Special Publication 42, Fault-Rupture Hazard
Zones in California. To identify the name of an Official EFZ map, click on the
appropriate area on the state map below. If you are unsure of the specific area, but
know the name of the city and/or county, refer to
Table 4 to
verify that the particular city or county is affected by Earthquake Fault Zones.
Lists of Earthquake Fault Zones maps that affect specific cities and
specific counties are available.
