CGS attends California Science Education Conference in San Francisco

In addition to being the primary source for geologic information in California government, the California Geological Survey (CGS) is active in the earth science education community, providing resouces to educators that are helpful in teaching the Science Content Standards at a variety of grade levels. CGS's Educational Resource webpage (http://www.consrv.ca.gov/cgs/information/EdResCenter.htm) contains maps and information addressing the geology, mineral resources, faults and earthquake epicenters, geologic and seismic hazards, volcanic sources, and many other facets of earth science in California.

The following CGS web resources include useful maps, articles, and displays used by CGS during the California Science Education Conference (http://www.cascience.org/conference.html).
