The Third Conference on Earthquake Hazards in the Eastern San Francisco Bay Area took place October 22-24, 2008 at California State University, East Bay, Hayward Hills Campus. This conference highlighted information on Eastern San Francisco Bay Area earthquake hazards that has been developed since previous conferences in 1982 and 1992. The conference marked the 140th anniversary of the 1868 Hayward Fault earthquake.

Conference Proceedings Volume

Papers for the Conference Proceedings Volume are due march 13, 2009.
Paper submissions to the Proceedings volume are encouraged from all conference presenters. The Proceedings volume will be published in CD and hard copy versions, in a format similar to CGS/CDMG Special Publications 62 and 113 (the proceedings volumes from the 1982 and 1992 East Bay earthquake hazards conferences). Please submit your paper in pdf format, using the formatting instructions provided below, by Friday, March 13 to Keith Knudsen (keith_knudsen@urscorp.com) and Mark Wiegers (Mark.O.Wiegers@conservation.ca.gov). The editors/conference organizers will arrange for peer review of each paper, but will not be responsible for revising incorrectly formatted submissions.
