The California Watershed Portal was established in 2004 by the California Resources Agency and Cal/EPA. The Portal is currently being managed by the California Department of Conservation (DOC) Statewide Watershed Program. The information on this site will assist watershed managers, organizations, agencies and the public to find and use technical information, educational tools, training materials, grant announcements, upcoming events, and a number of other tools provided through the Portal to help manage and protect California’s watersheds.
We encourage visitors to this site to contact us with news, events, technical information, publications, corrections, and other information so that the Portal continues to be a dynamic online library resource that provides access to California watershed information. The Portal will be updated on a frequent basis.
Portal Content and Navigation
The Site Index under Quick Links provides a guide to the organization of the Portal. In an effort to provide a wide range of watershed information, the Portal home page has been divided into subject areas located by clicking the Tabs and Quick Links. The Tabs listed above allow the user to access information in many areas:
About Watersheds, Grants, Information & Resources, News & Events, Organizations & Agencies, and Watershed Browser. Please let us know if your agency or organization would like to be included under the Organizations and Agencies tab.
The Quick Links located on the left side of the web page allow the user to quickly navigate to the most frequently visited areas of the Portal.
